Theo Tams "Up Close & Personal" - Pop/Funk/Folk Rock

A Gemini nominated performer and multi-faceted artist, Theo Tams’ unique piano; singer/songwriter style demonstrates that he is clearly an artist with the talent and tenacity to sustain a long and substantial career.

Kim McMechan - Acoustic/Folk/Country

Kim McMechan is a poet and award-winning singer-songwriter. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, she now lives in Kelowna where she is studying photography at the Centre for Arts and Technology in between touring and raising her two young daughters. Her songs, which often begin as poetry, are grounded in the details of the everyday. Her music is heard frequently on CBC Radio and campus stations throughout Canada.

Clearwater Canoe Regatta
The Canoe Regatta is a whole bunch of fun held over two days on Dutch Lake.  Wells Gray Day: Knowing Parks, and Celebrating Conservation.

When: Saturday, September 10, 2011
Time: 930 am to 8 pm
Where: 5369 Clearwater Road, the TRU Field Research Station, and the Upper Clearwater Community Hall, 26 km north of Clearwater.
Cost: Visit the newly created wildlife corridor; listen to talks ranging from volcanoes, moose, and local history for free. On site concession, $10 for dinner at the community hall.

Details Come and join The Land Conservancy of BC for a day of activities celebrating BC Parks 100th birthday and our Wetlands and Wildlife Corridor Project, This event is both a fundraiser for our project with Clearwater residents Trevor Goward and John and Edwina Kurta and a tribute to the vision of private citizens who work to protect wildlife habitat adjacent to BC Parks. We hope you'll join us for a day of naturalist-style talks on subjects ranging from Wells Gray's moose to its volcanoes, as well as guided walks into the forests and wetlands of the corridor properties. Terry Lake, Kamloops MLA and Minister of Environment, and Chief Nathan Matthew from the Simpcw First Nation will open the event. Other dignitaries include renowned ethnobotanist Nancy Turner, author and birding guru Dick Cannings, and well-known wildlife biologists and raconteurs Ralph and Frank Ritcey.

Festivities start 930 am and continue throughout the day, culminating in a dinner at the Clearwater Hall hosted by CBC’s Mark Forsythe with a keynote talk by Dr. Nancy Turner.

It's back!  Test your metal at the Wilderness Gateway Relay! Teams of seven bike and run from Clearwater Lake, through amazing trails, up and down hills, along a stream or two, towards Dutch Lake!

Each year The Rotary Club in Clearwater organises a Christmas Tree Light Up! There is Santa, Christmas Carols, hot chocolates, cookies, and a whole bunch more.
