 Wells Gray Hiking

What's been seen in Wells Gray today?

The waterfall Tour is perfect right now, with snow melting,  the river levels
are rising! And the weather? Just perfect. Visit Spahats, Dawson and Helmcken Falls, three of Canada's most beautiful waterfall, then spend some time at the Green Mountain Viewing Tower to experience just exactly how vast Wells Gray Country is!

As for wildlife? Plenty of bears have been seen grazing on the spring growth; mule deer,
white tail deer, ospreys and bald eagles have all been spotted this week.

How to get here: Clearwater is the gateway to Wells Gray Park. From Jasper,
Clearwater is a distance of 311km (193 miles) and from Vancouver; Clearwater is a distance of 449km (279 miles)

Lambing Season !  Aveley Ranch Lambing

It's April on Aveley Heritage Sheep Ranch and that means lambing season!
Open daily from April 1 - 30, 11:00am - 7:00pm

Come see a lamb being born, spend time in the lambing pens, go for a hayride,
or relax with a cup of tea in the tea house. Come for a few hours or spend the day.
Guest are welcome to bring a picnic along.

Special Events: Saturday, April 25 - Bonfire, roast a hot dog or make a s'more.
Tuesday, April 28 - Seniors Day, Guests age 60+ receive a 30% discount on admission.

Also coming soon: Sheep Shearing (May 9-12, weather depending).

Spring is here!

The snow cone on the base of Helmcken Falls is spectacular. The road to the Falls is
now mostly clear of snow; it is a great time to visit the Falls. 48 km along Clearwater
Valley Road off Highway 5, there are some great sights along the way, including, the Mush Bowl and brilliant views looking down the Clearwater Valley.
