Wells Gray not only boasts incredible wilderness, but also hosts a wide variety of outdoor, cultural, and arts events through the summer. Take your holiday up a notch and enjoy these local events!

  • Summer Thursday Night Concert Series-July 7 to August 2016

    Every Thursday night during July and August enjoy free outdoor music concerts brought to you by the outdoor music guild. These free concerts are a family friendly event and take place from 7-9pm. Concessions and activities will be available. Bring  a chair or blanket and enjoy music underneath the Clearwater skies! Location: Dutch Lake Community Center Park. Download the poster here.

  • Telling Stories Speaker Event Series- Sundays July 3 to August 1, 2016

    The Wells Gray Visitor Information invites you to join in the celebration of First Nations and pioneer culture in Wells Gray Provincial Park! This free event series takes place on Sundays at the Wells Gray Visitor Information Center in Clearwater, BC at 7PM. Download the Events Series poster here.

  • Mountain Biking and Hiking Socials - July to August 2016

    Rip down the new mountain bike trails built to international standardsJoin locals experts and enthusiasts for group hikes and mountain bike rides in Wells Gray and Clearwater.  From exploring and learning about biking on local trails to exploring Wells Gray's signature waterfalls, adventuring with new friends is always more fun!   • Clearwater Farmers Market and Elks Breakfast- May to October 2016

    Every Saturday from 9am-12pm, there is a Farmer's Market featuring local produce, baked goods, crafts and demonstrations. Located on the lawn of Interior Whitewater Expeditions, the market is the perfect place to pick-up artisan food and gifts. Hungry? Come early for a traditional Canadian breakfast hosted by the local Elks Association.   • Outdoor Yoga- Summer 2016

    Take your yoga practice to a new level and enjoy yoga outdoors! Takes place every Tuesday evening. Suitable for all levels. Don't have a mat? Don't worry, you can borrow one. Classes are from 7-8pm at the Dutch Lake Community Centre Field. Bring water, mat and a blanket. Cost: $10 per class.Learn more here.

  • 5th Annual Clearwater Children's Arts Festival- August 3, 2016

    With music performances by the Barefoot Caravan, ten hands-on art stations, drumming and dramatic performances, this year's festival has so much to keep your child happy and engaged. Did we mention, it's free! August 3rd, 10am-3pm at the Dutch Lake Community Centre Field in Clearwater, BC. The festival is organized by the North Thompson Arts Council.

  • Clearwater Kayak Festival- July 22 to 24, 2016

  • The Wild Romantics Live @ Serenity Music- August 5, 2016

    Armed with just two voices, guitar and sparse percussion, their music has drawn comparisons to the haunting, intimate folk of The Civil Wars to energetic, foot stomping, southern driven rock n’ roll in the spirit of Shovels and Rope and Johnny Cash.

  • First Fish Ceremony- August 24, 2016

    Discover deep-rooted traditions, sample delicious first nation fare and learn intricate games of chance, as you celebrate the annual return of salmon to the Raft River.  Experience it all every August when the rivers start running red…with salmon. The event is held at the Raft River Viewing Platform in Clearwater. On this day, Simcpw invites guests to participate in several activities that highlight Simcpw’s culture and history, including pit cooking, sockeye salmon viewing, storytelling and a traditional game called Lehal. August 24, 106 at the Raft River Salmon Viewing Platform in Clearwater, BC. Thank you to the Simpcw First Nation for hosting this event.

  • Canoe Regatta- September 10, 2016

    A full day of running, biking and canoe races and other fun outdoor events for all ages! Come one and all to the scenic Dutch Lake Beach in Clearwater, BC where this event is held.   • Serenity Harvest Music Festival- September 9-11, 2016
