If you're looking for a summer vacation of deep blue skies over deep blue water, where you can wander lush alpine meadows and cool, ancient forests, or paddle and fish big lakes and majestic rivers, then a summer visit to Wells Gray Country has a lot to offer!Here you will find the sense of everlasting space which is for so many the essence of the 'real' Canada, and with none of the pressing crush of crowds or exorbitant pricing which has become such a feature of the better-known centres.
The pace of your visit is entirely up to you.
You might prefer quiet strolls to see some of the impressive waterfalls for which the area is so well-known, with a tour of the lake, a gentle trail-ride, and a scenic float down the North Thompson River. Or perhaps a spell of fishing or a round of golf.Or your style might call for wet 'n' wild whitewater rafting, bagging an alpine peak or two, exploring some of the more remote volcanic features, and rattling down a stretch of steep single-track on your bike before breakfast.
