Fairways in the ForestIf you’re looking for great golfing in beautiful mountain-view settings without burning a hole in your pocket book, look no further than our two fabulously-groomed golf-courses.
Raft Peak overlooks the 9-hole, par 35, Lacarya Golf-Course located on Highway 5, and just by the main entrance to the Park you’ll find the 9-hole, par 36, Wells Gray Golf Course. Both of these regulation-sized courses offer challenging obstacles for advanced players, with not-so friendly water holes and soft sand traps. However, the design of these courses was intended to suit recreational players of every level, so golfers of all skills and ages will find the courses entertaining and challenging. Quite apart from the excellent and highly affordable golfing, the natural surroundings add a very different perspective to the game: it might well be that an ‘eagle on the 9th’ means precisely that, and now and then players have to consider how they will negotiate the unexpected obstacle of a moose ambling along the fairway. You may think your golf partner is sly when it comes to the strategy of the game, but you never know when a fox might appear to take your first ‘birdie’, adding to the entertainment and enjoyment from these courses.
After an engaging round of golf, sit down, relax and quench your thirst or nourish your appetite at their clubhouses. Better still, stay and play for a few days: both courses offer RV camping, and there are many accommodations of other types nearby.
