Venture beyond the Park gate in the winter and you'll enter into an entirely new kind of winter wonderland.
Hop on the Snow-Taxi, offered by Clearwater Lake Tours, for the opportunity to have the entire northern part of the Park to yourself! Opportunities for snowshoeing are plentiful and you can choose from short guided day trips to full day and (our favourite) overnight trips up to Clearwater Lake. Don't have snowshoes? Don't worry as Clearwater Lake Tours has you covered. If you can walk, you can snowshoe!

Twice Daily Snow-Taxi Runs

Looking for a longer excursion in our winter wonderland? Try Clearwater Lake Tours' fully guided, outfitted, and catered overnight trip to Clearwater Lake in the Snow-Taxi. Snowshoe at Ray Farm and Osprey Falls while enjoying the comfort of heated cabins and delicious catered meals.

1.5 hour trips are $30 per person (minimum 3 people, or $50 per person for 2 people)

For a truly unique and unforgettable experience consider bringing friends, family and or loved ones to join you on a fully outfitted, catered and guided overnight trip on the Snow Taxi to Clearwater Lake.

This trip takes you from the Helmcken Falls up along the snowed-in Corridor route by Snow Taxi.  Along the way, you'll stop at points of interest including the Ray Farm, the Horseshoe, Alice and Shadow lakes. Moose tracks abound and your best chance of seeing these magnificent animals is along this route. Download the winter corridor map.

Try a winter paddle on Clearwater Lake or snowshoe amoung ancient cedar forests. Enjoy the sounds of Osprey Falls as it flows over ancient lava beds. Enjoy delicious meals at the Osprey Cafe which you'll have to yourself, and makes cozy base camp for warming-up or stretching your legs inside. The cozy and fully furnished cabins provide a warm and comfortable place to lay your head after spending the night by the campfire, gazing at stars.
